What doesn’t Ginny do? As the CEO of Cameron Group, Ginny’s role is simple: keeping the ship afloat (trust us, you don’t want the details). She’s been guiding the company with her strategic planning, policy implementation and operational oversight—making sure everything runs smoothly for both clients and the team.
Ginny’s journey in the insulation business began with her father, Walter Shipe, who joined the family business in 1949. Growing up, she wasn’t just her father’s daughter; she was his fishing, baseball, and landscaping buddy, doing all the things a son might do. Her father instilled in her the belief that women could do anything, and she’s lived by that ever since. After working two years in advertising post-college, she returned to the family business in 1977 and hasn’t looked back.
Ginny made her mark in the industry, becoming the first female president of ICAA in 2001, and currently serves on the Board of Directors for both ICAA and Insulate America.
Beyond her professional achievements, Ginny’s greatest reward is working alongside her sons, Scott and Andrew and the incredible team she considers her second family. Even though she’s a seasoned leader, Ginny remains a tomboy at heart, still passionate about the outdoors, sports and gardening.
